UriBuild Private Beta Terms

These terms govern applications for and participation in Private Beta programmes operated by UriBuild. By joining a programme, you agree to these terms and the relevant product-specific Beta Notice. Read both before using the test product.

1. The Beta Notice

Each programme may include a Beta Notice describing the product, planned testing period, participant limit, eligibility, cost, access method, known limitations and expected feedback. If a Beta Notice conflicts with these general terms, the product-specific notice controls only for that programme and only to the extent of the conflict.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old unless the Beta Notice clearly states a different lawful requirement. You must be able to enter into these terms, provide accurate application information and use the product in a location where participation is permitted.

3. Applications and selection

Submitting an application does not create a right to participate or guarantee selection. UriBuild may select testers based on programme capacity, product relevance, a useful range of circumstances and the ability to complete the test. UriBuild may decline, defer or close an application without offering access.

4. Personal and temporary access

Beta access may be tied to the email address approved in your application. Access is personal, limited, temporary, non-transferable and revocable. Do not sell, share or lend access, allow another person to use your account, or attempt to create access for an unapproved person.

5. Account responsibility

You are responsible for safeguarding your login method, keeping account information accurate and promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access. Do not provide UriBuild with your email password, bank login, payment-card PIN or authentication code.

6. Testing period, capacity and cost

The planned start, duration, tester limit and cost will be stated in the Beta Notice. A planned period may change for technical, security or operational reasons. Participation is free unless UriBuild clearly discloses a charge and obtains the required agreement before access begins.

7. What a beta product is

A beta product is unfinished evaluation software. Features may be incomplete, experimental, inaccurate, unavailable or removed. Designs and workflows may change without notice. The product may contain faults, lose or duplicate records, produce unexpected results or stop operating. Participation should be based on that understanding.

8. Keep independent records

Do not rely on a beta product as your only record, backup or critical service. Keep independent copies of information that matters to you and check calculations or summaries before acting on them. UriBuild may reset or remove test records where reasonably necessary to repair, secure or conclude a programme.

9. Acceptable use

You agree to use the product lawfully and in good faith for its intended testing purpose. You must not:

• seek unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
• interfere with availability, security or another tester's experience;
• introduce malicious code or use automated tools to overload or scrape protected areas;
• evade limits, impersonate another person or submit deliberately false records;
• use the product to violate another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights;
• reverse engineer protected parts except where applicable law expressly prevents that restriction; or
• use the programme for unlawful, harmful or deceptive activity.

10. Feedback and testing participation

You are encouraged to report faults, confusing experiences and suggestions honestly. Feedback is voluntary unless a Beta Notice says that reasonable participation in a survey or check-in is part of the programme. Do not include unnecessary confidential or sensitive third-party information in a report.

11. Permission to use feedback

You grant UriBuild a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free permission to use, adapt and incorporate feedback, ideas and problem reports you voluntarily submit for product development, research and improvement. This permission does not allow UriBuild to publish your name, photograph, private financial records, testimonial or review without separate permission.

12. Intellectual property

UriBuild and its licensors retain ownership of the products, code, branding, interfaces, documentation and other protected materials. These terms grant only the limited right to access and evaluate the relevant product during the authorised programme. No ownership is transferred to a tester.

13. Confidential programme information

If UriBuild identifies a feature, document, link or communication as confidential or non-public, you must not disclose it outside the programme without permission. General feedback about your own experience may be shared unless the Beta Notice says the programme or a specific feature is private. Legal reporting rights are not restricted.

14. Privacy

Personal information is handled under the UriBuild Privacy Policy and any relevant Beta Notice. Testers should enter only the information reasonably needed to evaluate the product. Do not use real third-party information unless you are authorised to do so.

15. Third-party services

A product may rely on independent hosting, authentication, email or infrastructure providers. Their services may have separate terms and may experience outages beyond UriBuild's control. Any optional link to a third-party platform does not make UriBuild responsible for that platform.

16. Financial-product limitations

A financial organisation product, including Portioned, is a record-keeping and planning tool. It is not a bank, lender, payment processor, accountant, investment service or financial adviser. It does not hold or move money, verify account balances, decide whether you should borrow, or replace professional financial, tax, legal or accounting advice.

17. Communications

UriBuild may send messages needed to administer access, security, programme changes, feedback requests and the end of testing. Optional promotional or availability updates will be handled separately where required, and you may unsubscribe from them.

18. Withdrawal and suspension

You may stop participating at any time. UriBuild may suspend or remove access where reasonably necessary to protect people, data, security, programme integrity or the product, or where these terms are breached. When practical, UriBuild may explain the reason and offer a way to resolve an error.

19. Changes or end of a programme

UriBuild may change, pause or end a Beta, reduce capacity, remove a feature or decide not to release the product publicly. Beta participation does not promise future access, a launch date, a particular feature or a free public product.

20. Availability and warranties

To the extent permitted by law, beta products are provided for evaluation on an “as available” basis. UriBuild does not promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent storage, accuracy for every use or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

21. Responsibility and liability

You remain responsible for decisions you make using a beta product and for maintaining independent records. To the extent permitted by law, UriBuild is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses caused by reliance on an unfinished product, loss of test data or temporary unavailability. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

22. General terms

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term does not waive it. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the relevant Beta Notice form the agreement for the programme. Applicable law and any mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.

23. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised as UriBuild products and testing practices develop. The effective date will be updated. Material changes affecting active testers will be communicated in an appropriate way, and continued participation may require renewed agreement where necessary.
